Furnace transformers are used to step down from voltages between 11 and 33 kV to levels of several hundred volts only. This results in massive secondary currents.
Furnace Transformers are special & sophisticated Transformers designed and tuned to the inverter circuit which applies a medium frequency (generally 500 Hz or 1000 Hz) voltage to the Induction coil.
The inverter circuit requires a D.C. Voltage for its operation, which is obtained by converting available three phase A.C.Voltage. Our units have been serving customers well in STEEL PLANTS all over the world. For such specific and peculiar application, special transformers are designed and supplied. These are essentially Rectifier / Converter Duty Transformers. We supply transformers for different types of furnaces such as Arc Furnaces, Ladle Furnace, Induction Furnace etc.

KVA : up to 25000 Transformers are designed for induction furnace, arc furnace, & submerged arc furnace application.
P.V : 11000/33000/66000 Magnetic circuit- lamination CRGO M3 to M5 type.
S.V : 443/550/660 Electric circuit-electrolytic grade 99.9% pure copper with transposition in
LV coil for current sharing in parallel conductors.
Vector : DYN11 Dielectric circuits-electric grade press paper, boards and mineral oil.
