Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh are two large, mostly dry states with an industrial pattern shaped by minerals and open land. Rajasthan has cement and limestone, marble and sandstone, lead-zinc and other mining around Udaipur and Bhilwara, textile units in Bhilwara, an engineering and auto belt at Bhiwadi-Neemrana, and some of the country's largest solar and wind installations in its western desert districts.
