Build the load schedule before choosing the board: list every outgoing circuit with its load, voltage and phase, then total the load per phase. A board with an unbalanced load runs hot on one phase and trips early, so aim to spread single-phase loads evenly.
Choose an enclosure rating for dust and moisture on the shop floor. The related lighting distribution board is for lighting circuits, with component choices under MCBs, MCCBs and RCCBs and RCBOs. Confirm all ratings with a qualified electrical engineer.
Ratings, dimensions and certification are confirmed against your enquiry. Use Send an enquiry and our engineers will respond within 24 hours.
Leave some spare ways for future loads; the number depends on how likely the site is to expand. A load schedule helps judge it, and it is cheaper to plan now than to replace the board later.
MCBs suit small final circuits up to modest current; MCCBs suit larger feeders, motors and higher fault levels, and have adjustable settings. Choose by current and breaking capacity. Breaking capacity should be above the fault level at the board in both cases.
An unbalanced load overloads one phase and causes neutral current and voltage imbalance. Distribute single-phase circuits evenly across the three phases. Where loads vary by shift, check the highest simultaneous load on each phase and move circuits between phases until currents are close.
